Terms of Service
Effective July 29, 2026. This is a plain-language operating agreement for a preparedness platform, not the last word — see the note at the bottom.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PurgeProof(“we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of purgeproof.com and the PurgeProof membership platform (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide (name, city, region, email, and phone number) is accurate.
3. What PurgeProof is — and isn’t
PurgeProof is an educational and organizational platform for household emergency preparedness. It includes a self-assessment audit, a library of guides, a member community, and training content (including third-party material we do not produce, such as embedded videos).
PurgeProof is not an emergency service, a medical provider, a first responder, or a substitute for professional advice of any kind. If you are in an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on this Service.
Content on the Service — including audit results, readiness scores, checklists, guides, and community posts — is general information for planning purposes only. It is not tailored medical, legal, structural-engineering, or safety advice for your specific situation, and we do not guarantee it is complete, current, or error-free. Decisions about your household’s safety, medical care, firearms, structural retrofits, or evacuation are yours to make, ideally with a qualified professional.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
We may suspend, mute, or terminate an account that violates these Terms, poses a safety or abuse risk to other members, or on reasonable notice for any other reason, including discontinuing the Service.
5. Membership tiers
The Service currently offers self-serve free access. Paid and VIP tiers referenced on the Service may not yet be available for self-service purchase; where that’s the case, no charge applies until we introduce real checkout and you affirmatively complete it. We will update these Terms and provide clear pricing and billing terms before any paid tier becomes purchasable.
6. Community conduct
The member community (forum, threads, posts) is for good-faith preparedness discussion. Don’t post anything unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that shares another person’s private information without consent. Don’t impersonate PurgeProof staff, spam, or attempt to bypass access controls or moderation.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate this section. See our moderation and audit-log practices if you have questions about an enforcement action — you can reach us using the contact info below.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (forum threads, posts, audit answers). By posting where other members or the public can see it, you grant PurgeProof a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service. You’re responsible for having the rights to anything you post.
8. Third-party content and links
Some training material and resources link to or embed third-party content (for example, instructional videos) that PurgeProof does not create, vet for accuracy, or control. Inclusion is not an endorsement. Use your own judgment, and verify safety-critical instructions (medical, firearms, structural) against a qualified professional or an authoritative source before acting on them.
9. Intellectual property
The Service — its design, text, graphics, and the PurgeProof name and marks — is owned by PurgeProof or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. These Terms don’t grant you any right to use PurgeProof’s branding except as needed to use the Service normally.
10. Disclaimers
The service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any readiness assessment reflects your actual preparedness or outcomes in a real emergency.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PurgeProof and its operator(s) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of life, injury, property damage, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content — including content related to emergency, medical, structural, or safety preparedness — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid PurgeProof, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PurgeProof harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We’ll post the updated version here with a new effective date; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the update. For material changes, we’ll make reasonable efforts to notify members directly.
